Swansea City's Jordi Amat out for rest of season with foot injury

Swansea City defender Jordi Amat has been ruled out for the rest of the season after breaking a metatarsal in his foot.

Amat, signed a new one-year contract extension in March, which expires in June 2018.

The Spaniard, 23, had been deputising at left-back while Neil Taylor was suspended.

Defenders Dwight Tiendalli and Jazz Richards have been recalled from loans at Middlesbrough and Fulham.

Both players are available for selection for Monday's Premier League match away to Arsenal.

The Swans are still without central defender Kyle Bartley, who underwent knee surgery in February.

The former Arsenal player was meant to return after six weeks, but is expected to miss the rest of the campaign.
