Yeovil Town manager Paul Sturrock has released 11 players following the club's relegation to League Two.
Captain Joe Edwards, 24, has also decided to leave the Glovers.
Craig Eastmond, Nathan Ralph, Sam Hoskins, Joel Grant, Gozie Ugwu, Kieffer Moore, Seth Twumasi, James Hayter, Alex Smith, Liam Davis and Fergus Bell have all been let go.
The club have made offers to terminate the contracts of AJ Leitch-Smith, James Berrett, Adam Morgan and Artur Krysiak.
The clearout could leave them with as few as three under-contract players, with Nathan Smith, Jakub Sokolik and Simon Gillett all staying, though Gillett is likely to miss the first half of the season because of along-term injury.
Midfielders Kevin Dawson and Sam Foley are currently negotiating new deals with Yeovil, while goalkeeper Chris Weale has also been offered a fresh contract.
"Today has been a very important day for the future of this football club," Sturrock told the club's website. "It's the culmination of player assessment after watching six or seven games since my arrival.
"I have made the decision that we have to clear the decks as I think there is a negativity and lack of commitment and a losing mentality amongst the squad of players.
"I am very hopeful that the players we have offered termination deals to will accept them."
Former Bristol City midfielder Edwards had been with Yeovil since January 2013 and played an important role in their promotion to the Championship later that year.
Hoskins, Grant, Moore, Twumasi and Davis all depart after two years at Huish Park, having been signed to bolster the Glovers' squad for their first season in the second tier.
Striker Hayter, 36, and defender Ralph, 22, have both ended three-year associations with the club.
