Glasgow City progressed to the Scottish Women's Premier League Cup final for the fourth year in a row with a comfortable 4-0 win over Celtic.

Hayley Lauder, Kerry Montgomery, Leanne Ross and Nicky Docherty were on target for Eddie Wolecki Black's side.

"Our win was fully merited and, despite a competitive Celtic, we kept full control," said Wolecki Black.

City will face Hibs, 4-0 winners over Aberdeen, in the final on Wednesday 3 June at Edinburgh's Ainslie Park.

Lucy Graham scored twice for the capital side, with Lizzie Arnott and Joelle Murray the other scorers.

City had only one goal to show for their territorial advantage over Celtic at half-time after Lauder volleyed them into the lead on 34 minutes.

Celtic keeper Laura Hamilton kept out City in the second half until, just after 60 minutes, Montgomery shot home from the edge of the box.

Glasgow midfielder Jo Love hit a powerful free-kick on target which Hamilton did well to turn around the post and Abbi Grant might have scored after a great cutback from Lauder, but she fired over the bar when it looked a certain goal.

A third arrived with 15 minutes remaining as second-half substitute Erin Cuthbert set up Ross and the City captain fired past Hamilton from 18 yards.

Two minutes later full-back Docherty scored the goal of the match with a powerful left-foot effort from inside the box.

Glasgow coach Wolecki Black added: "Congratulations to everyone at the club on reaching another final. I did say that a full week's preparation for this game would make a difference and I believe that was the case today.

"We now begin our work for our top-of-the-table clash against Hibernian next week."
