Tranmere Rovers have signed striker James Norwood on a two-year contract following his release by Forest Green.
The 24-year-old had been at The New Lawn since his arrival in 2011, scoring 49 goals in 165 appearances.
He netted 11 times last season as Forest Green reached the Conference play-offs, but they were beaten at the semi-final stage by Bristol Rovers.
"I'm delighted to make James my first signing," Tranmere manager Gary Brabin told the club's website.
"He was someone I knew I wanted to bring to the club the day I became manager. He's got a good scoring record in the Conference and I know he can get better."
