David Perkins: Midfielder agrees one-year Wigan Athletic deal

Wigan Athletic have signed midfielder David Perkins on a one-year deal following his release by Blackpool.
Perkins was one of 17 released by the Tangerines on Tuesday following their relegation to the Championship.
The 32-year-old made 67 appearances for the club after signing from Barnsley in January 2014.
"We've been looking at him for a while and I'm sure he can do a good job for us," Wigan manager Gary Caldwell told the club's website.
"It's a no-brainer for me, I've always been impressed with his energy and willingness to give 100%."
Wigan were relegated from the Championship along with Blackpool and Millwall, winning just nine matches in the league..
