Ben Pringle and captain Craig Morgan are set to leave Rotherham United after turning down contract offers.
Midfielder Pringle, 25, made 43 appearances in 2014-15 while defender Morgan, 29, appeared 38 times.
The pair were offered new deals at the end of the season but boss Steve Evans confirmed the pair have opted to leave.
Evans told the club website: "I am obviously disappointed that both have decided to move on from a simply stunning three-year period."
Both Pringle and Morgan were part of the Rotherham squad that won successive promotions from League Two to the Championship, and helped the club secure second-tier status last month.
Evans continued: "I was informed late on Wednesday evening that at this stage we have been unable to agree terms with either of the lads or their representatives.
"On behalf of everyone at Rotherham United we would like to thank both for their service and we wish them well for the future."
Evans also confirmed that there had been "significant interest" in goalkeeper Scott Loach and midfielder Conor Newton.
"The lads and the representatives are in discussions with a number of clubs," he said. "Both players are still available to any interested clubs, and neither are part of the plans moving forward."
