John Askey: Macclesfield Town manager extends contract

John Askey's Macclesfield won 21 of their 46 league games in 2014-15

Macclesfield Town manager John Askey has agreed a new contract.

Askey, who has been the club's first-team manager since July 2013, guided Macclesfield to 15th place in the Conference in his first season.

The Silkmen then finished sixth in the Conference in 2014-15, one point below the play-off places.

"We are all pleased that John has agreed a new contract wants to continue the job he's started," chairman Mark Blower told the club website.
