Dumbarton have signed striker Kevin Cawley from Alloa Athletic and Queen's Park midfielder Darren Miller on one-year contracts.
Cawley, who joined Alloa in 2011, previously played under new Sons boss Stephen Aitken when the 26-year-old was assistant at Stranraer.
He scored 33 goals in 140 appearances for Dumbarton's Championship rivals.
The 22-year-old Miller joined Queen's Park from League Two rivals Albion Rovers last summer.
Assistant manager Stephen Farrell told his club website: "It's a great opportunity for Darren. He's a player we've been monitoring for a while.
"Kevin will give us presence, is athletic, can defend from the front and can play. We've known about his abilities for a long time and he'll be good at Dumbarton."
Cawley said he had made the switch to Dumbarton because, although he joined his time at Alloa, he felt he needed a fresh challenge.
Miller was confident he could make the step up from League Two.
