Romanian goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon has been ruled out of the side's Euro 2016 qualifier with Northern Ireland.
The goalkeeper suffered a knee injury in Sunderland's goalless draw at Arsenal, which ruled him out of the final game of the season at Chelsea.
While he reported for international duty in Bucharest this week, he will not be considered for the game at Windsor Park on 13 June.
"I'm so sorry that I could not help Romania in Belfast," said Pantilimon.
"My heart will be with my colleagues, and I wish them to win in Northern Ireland.
"Unfortunately, this injury prevents my presence on the pitch."
Romania currently lead qualifying Group F, with 13 points from five games, while Northern Ireland are one point behind them in second place.
