Crystal Palace defender Brede Hangeland has signed a new one-year contract.

The 33-year-old, who won 91 caps for Norway before quitting international football last year, joined Palace in August 2014 after six years at Fulham.

He made 17 appearances last season, scoring two goals, as the Eagles finished 10th in the Premier League.

"I have really enjoyed working under Alan Pardew and we have a very talented squad who are all a really good bunch of lads to be around," said Hangeland.
