Kieran Trippier: Tottenham in talks about Burnley full-back
Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Burnley about signing right-back Kieran Trippier, says Clarets boss Sean Dyche.
The 24-year-old former Manchester City trainee has been with the Clarets since 2012 and started every Premier League game last season.
The ex-England Under-21 international did not play for City's first team, and had a loan spell at Barnsley before moving to Turf Moor, initially on loan.
"A year ago he could have moved, but he stayed strong," said Dyche.
"The time has come where he'd like to move on a bigger club and, while it's not done, it is active and if it goes through then I think everyone at Burnley would wish him well."
Spurs have made one signing so far this summer, bringing in Cologne defender Kevin Wimmer for an undisclosed fee on a five-year deal.
Dyche also told the Burnley website that no bid has been received for captain Jason Shackell who is reportedly interesting Derby.
