Hearts have signed Polish defender Blazej Augustyn, subject to international clearance.
The 27-year-old was most recently with Gornik Zabrze in his homeland and also has experience of English and Italian football.
Augustyn started his senior career with Bolton before spells with Legia Warsaw, Rimini, Catania and Vicenza.
He becomes Hearts' first summer signing with the Championship winners preparing for a return to the Premiership.
Captain and defender Danny Wilson is leaving Tynecastle and head coach Robbie Neilson has boosted his defensive options with the capture of Augustyn.
Most of the Pole's senior appearances have been in Italy and he won three Under-21 caps between 2009 and 2010.
