England's Harry Kane says he is "gutted" following England's 1-0 defeat to Portugal in the first match of their Under-21s European Championship campaign.

The England striker said the loss of key players to injury before the match, defender John Stones and forward Saido Berahino did have an effect on the team's performance.

England now face Sweden - who beat Italy earlier on Thursday - on Sunday, when failure to win would effectively rule out their chances of reaching the last four.
