Queens Park Rangers midfielder Alejandro Faurlin has agreed a new one-year deal with the Championship club.
The Argentine, 28, joined QPR in July 2009 but made just three appearances in 2014-15 because of the third anterior cruciate ligament injury of his career.
He has not played first-team football since a League Cup game in August 2014.
"I contemplated giving up after my last injury," Faurlin told the club website. "It was really tough and I was in a dark place. Thankfully I'm still here."
After signing from Argentine side Instituto, he was voted the club's player of the year in his first season at Loftus Road and had a key role in their promotion to the Premier League in 2011.
"The support from everyone in and around the club has been massive," he added. "I am eternally grateful for that.
"I have trained with the lads for three to four months now. I feel confident. I'm ready to go again."
