Mansfield Town: Scott Shearer and Brian Jensen join Stags
Mansfield have signed goalkeepers Scott Shearer from Crewe and Brian Jensen from Crawley on free transfers.
Shearer, 34, has played for 11 clubs including Wycombe, Rotherham and Coventry, in a 15-year career.
Jensen, 40, will combine a player and goalkeeping coach role at the club.
"I've been here a few times and I've always been impressed by the set-up, the stadium, the support the team gets and the manager is a massive factor as well," Shearer told the club website.
"I'm not somebody who'll go to a club to just stagnate and be there for no reason.
"We've only got a short career in a short space of time and I want to be as successful as I can be. I get that vibe from this club."
Jensen, who was born in Denmark, said he was looking forward to working with boss Adam Murray, adding: ""He's got a great philosophy. He wants to do well and he's determined, so you're halfway there."
