Dover Athletic have signed former Luton Town striker Ricky Miller on a two-year deal, while three other players have agreed new one-year deals.

Miller's move to Crabble is subject to his upcoming criminal trial in July, having been charged with five offences after an incident with a taxi driver.

Miller, 26, scored five goals during a loan spell at Dover last season.

Meanwhile, midfielders Liam Bellamy, Nick Deverdics and Chris Kinnear Jr have signed new contracts.

Miller was arrested in April and charged with racially-aggravated assault, using racially threatening words, assault by beating and using threatening behaviour with intent to cause fear of violence.

"The club are aware of Ricky's current personal issues and impending court case," a statement on the Dover website said.

"The contract was agreed some time ago and with Ricky pleading not guilty, the club believe it is right to apply the principle that he is innocent until proven guilty.

"Ricky has been turning up to training for every session and has a partner and child to support so the club considers it fair to honour the contract, subject to the outcome of the impending court hearing."
