Tom Heaton: Burnley goalkeeper signs new contract
Goalkeeper Tom Heaton has signed a new three-year contract with Burnley.
The 29-year-old impressed during the Clarets' one-year stay in the Premier League last season and became the first Burnley player to be called up by England since 1974 in May.
The former Manchester United trainee moved to Turf Moor in 2013 from Bristol City after a spell at Cardiff.
"I feel like I'm getting better all the time and that is vital for me and I want to keep doing that," he said.
"I really love playing for the manager and working with the staff, particularly the goalkeeping coach Billy Mercer, who I feel I've improved under, and I'm really excited for the times ahead."
The deal is another year on the three-year contract he signed last summer, when he helped Burnley to promotion from the Championship with 19 clean sheets in 46 league appearances.
