Championship club Brentford have signed midfielder Konstantin Kerschbaumer from Austrian Bundesliga side FC Admira Wacker Modling for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old Austrian, who featured 16 times after joining Admira in January, has agreed a four-year contract with the Bees.
"Konstantin was at Admira for a relatively short period," Bees co-director of football Phil Giles said.
"[He] demonstrated he is a talented player who can develop further."
Kerschbaumer was on the books of Rapid Wein as a youngster and spent two and a half years with St Polten, who play in the Austrian second tier, before joining top-flight side Admira.
The Austrian youth international is Brentford's fourth signing of the summer.
The west London club have increased their use of statistics and mathematical modelling in their player recruitment in a bid to compete with better-resourced rivals.
