Frank Lampard took part in his first training session with New York City ahead of his Major League Soccer debut against Toronto on 12 July.

The ex-England, West Ham and Chelsea midfielder agreed to join last summer, before signing a contract with sister club Manchester City.

Lampard, 37, will finally begin his career with New York, who are second from bottom in the Eastern Conference.

He is part of a squad that includes former Barcelona striker David Villa.
