National League: Wrexham start new season at Bromley

Gary Mills

Wrexham will face newly promoted Bromley in their opening game of the new National League season on Saturday, 8 August.

Bromley secured promotion to the National League as champions of the Conference South.

"It'll be a big game for them so we've got to go there and do the job," said Wrexham boss Gary Mills.

The Dragons host Torquay United on Tuesday 11 August and Aldershot on Saturday 15 August.

They visit Chester on Saturday, 3 October and host relegated Tranmere Rovers three days later.

Mills added: "Certainly you look at the start, we've got four out of the first six at home which is massive for us so it gives us a good opportunity to get off to a good start.

"We all want that start, I'm confident that we will but if we don't for whatever reason it won't be the end of the world.

"The football season is a long season and through experiences you learn at some point you're going to have a good period and at some point you're going to have a bad period."

Wrexham host Southport on Boxing Day before travelling to FC Halifax on 28 December.

Chester visit The Racecourse on Saturday, 19 March and the regular season ends at Barrow on 30 April.
