Portsmouth have completed the signing of midfielder Michael Doyle following his release by Sheffield United.
The 33-year-old moves to the League Two club on a one-year deal after more than three years with the Blades.
He scored 10 goals in 231 games for United and was part of the squad which reached last season's League One play-offs and the League Cup semi-finals.
"I want to try to help this club move back up through the divisions again," Doyle told the club website.
Capped once by the Republic of Ireland, he came through the youth system at Celtic before moving to Coventry in 2003 and then Sheffield United in 2011.
