Defender Andrai Jones has signed a two-year contract with Southport after a trial with the National League side.
The 23-year-old was most recently at Gateshead and played 25 games for the Tyneside club last season.
Jones had a spell with Everton at youth level and joined Bury as a professional in 2010. He has also played for Barnsley and Tranmere.
Southport boss Paul Carden told the club website: "I am delighted to have signed Andrai. He is a real prospect."
