Former Wrexham captain Dean Keates has joined Welsh Premier League side Rhyl.
The 37-year-old was released by Wrexham in May after nearly five years at Racecourse.
The midfielder made over 150 appearances for the Dragons and captained the side to a FA Trophy win in 2013.
Keates started his career with hometown club Walsall and also played for Hull City, Kidderminster, Lincoln City, Peterborough and Wycombe Wanderers.
He will also coach the Glyndwr Wrexham Football Academy as he completes the final two years of a sports coaching degree.
