Gateshead sign Patrick McLaughlin and Simon Ramsden

Conference club Gateshead have signed former Motherwell defender Simon Ramsden and ex-Grimsby midfielder Patrick McLaughlin on one-year deals.
Ramsden was available on a free transfer after being released in May.
The 33-year-old made 83 appearances for the Scottish Premiership side, who he joined from Bradford in 2012.
Former Newcastle youngster McLaughlin, 24, was freed after two seasons with the Mariners, having scored five goals in 58 appearances for the club.
