FC Halifax have signed former Chester midfielder Kingsley James, with a compensation fee to be agreed by a Football Association tribunal.
The 23-year-old made 43 appearances for the Blues last season, scoring twice, after joining them from the now defunct Hereford United last summer.
James began his career with Sheffield United, making one appearance for the Blades in a 2010 League Cup tie.
He later moved on to Port Vale before joining Hereford in 2013.
