Middlesbrough are set to sign Uruguay striker Cristhian Stuani from Espanyol in a £2.8m deal.
The 28-year-old scored 16 goals in 48 appearances last season as Espanyol finished 10th in La Liga.
Stuani, who has won 22 caps for Uruguay, was part of the team which was knocked out by Chile in the quarter finals of this year's Copa America.
"He will join Middlesbrough once he passes a medical and signs a contract," Espanyol confirmed in a statement.
"The player's wish is to say goodbye to his team-mates next week in Barcelona before joining his new club."
