MK Dons have signed Peru international Cristian Benavente from Real Madrid Castilla on a two-year deal.
The 21-year-old has the option of a further year at the Championship club and joins on a free transfer.
Benavente featured 33 times for Real Madrid's reserve side, which is managed by Zinedine Zidane.
Dubbed the "Peruvian Ronaldinho", he has been capped eight times by his country and is the Dons' fifth signing of the summer.
"Cristian came on our radar about a month ago," manager Karl Robinson told the club's website.
"We knew of him and I was able to speak to one or two of my contacts in Madrid about him.
"He has an ability to play in a number of positions. He is one for the future, but hopefully he can make an impact now as well - he's certainly an exciting talent."
Benavente's signing is subject to international clearance and FA approval.
