Allan Johnston made a winning start as Dunfermline manager as his side cruised past Arbroath in the Challenge Cup.

Faissal El Bakhtaoui's strike opened the scoring for the Pars and he headed his second after Michael Moffat had doubled the visitors' lead.

Ryan Wallace added a fourth with a 20-yard effort in the second half.

Martin Grehan pulled one back for Arbroath after Dunfermline had failed to clear a corner as the hosts bowed out in the first round.
