Danny Johnson: Gateshead sign ex-Cardiff City striker

Gateshead have signed striker Danny Johnson following his summer release by Championship side Cardiff City.
The 22-year-old opted for a move to Gateshead after a trial with York City as he "felt wanted".
Johnson left the Bluebirds without making a first-team appearance but scored one goal in nine games last term on loan with Tranmere and Stevenage.
He joined Cardiff on the back of a 59-goal season with Northern League side Guisborough in 2013-14.
"I'm pleased to join Gateshead, they are a club with ambition," said Johnson.
