Blackburn Rovers have signed striker Bangaly-Fode Koita and midfielder Sacha Petshi from French clubs.

Koita, 24, who has spent the last two seasons with Ligue 1 side Caen, has signed a two-year contract.

"In France, the game is more technical, but here it is physical, it is very strong. I am here to learn and to do my best," he told the club website.external-link

Petshi, 23, last played for CA Bastia, who suffered relegation to the fourth tier of French football last season.

He has agreed a one-year contract with Rovers, with an option for a further 12 months following a trial at Ewood Park.
