Blackburn Rovers have signed striker Bangaly-Fode Koita and midfielder Sacha Petshi from French clubs.
Koita, 24, who has spent the last two seasons with Ligue 1 side Caen, has signed a two-year contract.
"In France, the game is more technical, but here it is physical, it is very strong. I am here to learn and to do my best," he told the club website.
Petshi, 23, last played for CA Bastia, who suffered relegation to the fourth tier of French football last season.
He has agreed a one-year contract with Rovers, with an option for a further 12 months following a trial at Ewood Park.
"It is a good club, with good facilities and a good team," he said.
"I'm here to play, to learn and to help the team win lots of games."
