James Bailey: Barnsley terminate midfielder's contract

James Bailey started his career at Crewe Alexandra

Barnsley have terminated the contract of midfielder James Bailey by mutual consent.

The 26-year-old joined the Tykes on a two-year deal last summer after being released by Championship side Derby.

He played 29 games in all competitions for the League One side in 2014-15, the last at Colchester on 6 April.

Barnsley said in a statement: "We would like to thank James for his services over the past 12 months and wish him well for the future."
