Norwich City: Martin Olsson and Cameron Jerome making progress

Norwich City boss Alex Neil says striker Cameron Jerome and left-back Martin Olsson are making good progress as they recover from injuries.

Jerome, who was the Canaries' top scorer last season, has a foot problem while Olsson is on his way back to fitness after shoulder surgery.

"Both are progressing really well," Neil told BBC Radio Norfolk.

"Cameron's doing straight line running now, so it's just getting him twisting and turning and he should be fine."

Norwich get their Premier League campaign underway at home to Crystal Palace on 8 August.

Sweden international Olsson has been out of action since helping them to play-off final glory against Middlesbrough in May.

"Martin's making great progress, so I think the next step for him is to start getting contact, in terms of getting involved with the players and seeing how his shoulder handles that," Neil added.

"Up until this point there's certainly been no setbacks so far."
