Wrexham manager Gary Mills has decided against offering a contract to midfielder Danny Racchi.
The former Huddersfield and Kilmarnock player, 27, was on trial at the Racecourse and featured in a number of pre-season games.
"It is a big decision because Racchi has done well in pre-season," Mills told the Evening Leader.
"But I felt we needed a bit more solidity in there, Danny is more of a ball player.
"He is a bit unlucky but that is a big decision from me to go forward."
Mills has recruited 10 new players during the close season since succeeding Kevin Wilkin as Wrexham manager.
The former Gateshead and York City boss is hoping to sign another player ahead of the new season, which starts at Bromley on 8 August.
