'Think before you tweet' is perhaps one piece of advice a Leyton Orient fan should have heeded when he shared his thoughts on a potential new signing.

Matt Simpson was so excited about the possibility of a permanent deal for a player who impressed on loan last season, he tweeted:

Moments later, Orient completed the signing of the 26-year-old Australian goalkeeper. The League Two club's social media team spotted Simpson's tweet and responded:
