Scott Linton's penalty gave Clyde victory over 10-man Stirling Albion on the opening day of Scottish League Two.

Michael Bolochoweckyj headed off target with an early chance for the visitors.

Stirling's Craig Comrie and Jon-Paul McGovern missed with speculative efforts and Hugh Murray and Scott McLaughlin threatened for Clyde.

Mark Staunton fouled David Gormley in the area and was promptly sent off, leaving Linton to convert and seal all three points for Barry Ferguson's side.
