New Crewe Alexandra signing Ben Nugent says joining the League One club on a permanent transfer will give his career some much-needed stability.
The central defender, 22, moved to Gresty Road from Cardiff City on a two-year deal on Monday after three loan spells in the last three seasons.
"It's got to the point where I need to play regularly rather than always going on loan," Nugent told BBC Radio Stoke.
"It's nice to have a bit of stability and I'm really excited."
Nugent came through the Bluebirds' academy system and made his debut for the first-team three seasons ago.
But after 14 games he was loaned out to Brentford where he played five times in five months. A two-month stay with Peterborough immediately after in February 2014 brought 11 appearances.
His eight months with Yeovil last season was his most productive in terms of game time - playing 29 times - and now he is raring to go with the Alex.
"I've had three loan clubs and had varied success," Nugent added.
"It's nice to be able to settle down and be a Crewe player, I want to get some games under my belt and progress."
