Wigan defender Andrew Taylor has joined Reading on a season-long loan deal.
The left-back started 27 times for the Latics as they were relegated from the Championship after joining from Cardiff last summer.
Taylor, 29, began his career at Middlesbrough and played 145 games for the Teessiders, as well as having loan spells at Bradford and Watford.
"I'm delighted. He brings experience and different attributes," Royals boss Steve Clarke told the club website.
Taylor, a former England Under-21 international, could make his debut in Reading's Championship opener against Birmingham at St Andrew's on Saturday.
