The new Irish Premiership season kicks-off on Saturday, 8 August and BBC Sport NI will be helping fans stay on the ball with the return of the Irish League Show.

The half-hour programme will be available to viewers via the BBC iPlayer every Monday evening, with front men Joel Taggart and Chris Morgan teaming up to present the action from a new studio.

This season, the Irish League Show will have extra time to bring fans all the highlights from the weekend's games, with analysis of all the key talking points.

With the programme being produced exclusively for the BBC iPlayer, it means that fans will be able to access it via a range of devices including smart phones, tablets and connected TVs. The programme will also available on the BBC Sport NI website.

Jane Tohill, Executive Producer BBC Sport NI, said: "There is always great anticipation among fans at the start of the new Irish Premiership season and it is the same for us.

"The team who work on the Irish League Show are looking forward to being back with this extended programme and bringing fans a packed show each week on the BBC iPlayer.

"And while fans will be able to enjoy all the action this season via a range of devices and on the BBC Sport NI website, unfortunately we cannot guarantee them the results they might be after!"

The Irish League Show will be available every Monday evening on the BBC iPlayer from Monday, 10 August.

Sportsound on BBC Radio Ulster will also be keeping fans up-to-date with all the results and live commentary during the season.
