Williams also played for Altrincham before he was forced to retired.

Former Wrexham and Wales Under-21 defender Mike Williams has joined Welsh Premier League newcomers Llandudno.

Williams, 28, retired in November 2014 suffering with osteoarthritis in both hips.

But after attending pre-season training with Llandudno, the ex-Kidderminster Harriers player has signed for Alan Morgan's side ahead of the new season.

"He's been different class in pre-season," Morgan said.

"If we can get the Mike Williams who has played for Kidderminster and Wrexham then I've got a good player on my hands.

"I'm looking forward to working with him."

Williams joins brother and fellow former Wales Under-21 international Marc at Llandudno.
