Marcus Maddison scored eight goals for Peterborough United last season after joining the League One side from Gateshead

Marcus Maddison scored two goals in three first-half minutes as Peterborough United fought back to beat Colchester United in League One.

Macauley Bonne put the visitors ahead, meeting a Gavin Massey cross to finish a quick counter-attack from the U's.

A minute later Maddison beat Elliot Parish with a cross-come-shot to level, before the midfielder completed the turnaround with a 20-yard effort.

Maddison almost completed a hat-trick, but steered a late free-kick over.
