Dan Holman scored one goal and created another on his debut to help Woking overcame Altrincham at home.
Giuseppe Sole put the hosts ahead, reacting quickest to slot the ball in to the bottom right corner of the net after goalkeeper Stuart Coburn parried Holman's initial shot.
Holman, on loan from Colchester for a month, linked up with Kadell Daniels after the break to make it 2-0
Jake Moult went closest to responding for Alty, but his shot hit the post.
Injured Woking striker Scott Rendell told BBC Surrey: "It was tough to watch, but that is something I am going to have to get used to for long a while.
"Getting the win was the main thing and to come out with another clean sheet was also a positive.
"Dan (Holman) came in today and did very well, getting himself a goal. I am delighted for him and hopefully he can carry on like that.
"The gaffer is always going to bring players in and give them their chance and it's up to them to play well and do the club proud."
