Port Vale: Ex-Newcastle striker JJ Hooper signs two-year deal
League One club Port Vale have completed the signing of former Newcastle United striker JJ Hooper.
Hooper, 21, has penned a two-year deal at Vale Park after scoring 20 goals in 29 games for National South club Havant and Waterlooville last season.
"We're delighted to have added JJ to our squad. He's a very talented player with a keen eye for goal," Vale boss Rob Page told the club website.
"He was prolific last season and we're hoping he can build on that."
Hooper, who joined Northampton Town in July 2013 after failing to break into the Magpies' first team, is the tenth new player signed since the end of the 2014-15 campaign.
