Crawley goalkeeper Freddie Woodman made a number of saves to help his side to a draw against unbeaten Portsmouth.
The England Under-19 international, on loan from Newcastle, denied former Red Devils striker Matt Tubbs after he was put clean through in the first half.
Gwion Edwards' fierce low shot for Crawley just before the hour mark was unlucky to find the side netting.
And Woodman parried a goal-bound shot from substitute Adam McGurk to ensure the two sides shared the points.
Crawley manager Mark Yates told BBC Surrey:
"They are going to win the league, they have the best manager in the league, they have the best players by far and the way they play is fantastic.
"They are really pleasing on the eye, they've recruited brilliantly and have players that can get them out of this league and that can handle the expectation. I fully expect them to be champions come the end of the season.
"We are still a massive work in progress and I said before - we've got the five toughest games you could ever wish to imagine at the start of the season."
