Oxford United midfielder Kemar Roofe says his 40-yard lob against Brentford in the League Cup is the best goal of his career.
Roofe was among the scorers as Michael Appleton's side stunned Championship Brentford at Griffin Park in a 4-0 win.
The U's were 3-0 ahead after just 12 minutes when Roofe lobbed Jack Bonham.
"Originally, I was going to hit first time. But, I knew the keeper was off his line and I had time to take a touch," he told BBC Radio Oxford.
Oxford named an unchanged side from the one which drew their League Two opener against Crawley.
Roofe, 22, backed manager Michael Appleton for the faith he showed in starting line-up.
"You can't judge a season after one performance," he added. "It's just exciting to come to a Championship side and put one over them.
"We've put in a performance that shows we're not that far off their level. We surprised them with the way we hit them early, 100% from the start."
