Dave Edwards: Wolves midfielder extends contract
Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Dave Edwards has signed a one-year contract extension at Molineux.
The 29-year-old Wales international's existing deal was due to run out at the end of the season.
"I think he's at his peak. In the years ahead, I think he's going to be a very good player," head coach Kenny Jackett told BBC WM 95.6.
"He's been a key player here and I'm delighted he's committed his future to the club."
Edwards joined Wolves from Luton Town in 2008 and scored the second goal in Saturday's 2-1 victory at Blackburn on the opening day of the Championship season.
"He brings so much to the team and that can be a problem for the opposition," Jackett added. "Goals and assists are a big part of the game and he's got the knack of being in the right place at the right time."
