Sunderland: John O'Shea a fan of striker target Fabio Borini

Sunderland captain John O'Shea remains a fan of former on-loan striker Fabio Borini, who has been linked with a move back to Wearside from Liverpool.
Borini, 24, enjoyed a successful loan spell at the Stadium of Light in 2013-14, scoring 10 goals in 40 games.
He helped the Black Cats to the Capital One Cup final, where he scored in a 3-1 Wembley defeat by Manchester City.
"From a players' point of view, I know the type of character he is," O'Shea told BBC Newcastle.
"We saw that on the pitch during his time here. He's so positive."
Despite a successful stint at Sunderland, the Italy forward rejected a return to the north east in 2014-15 in favour of trying to establish a place in the Liverpool team. However, despite the departure of Luis Suarez to Barcelona, he was unable to secure a first-team spot and is one of several players boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to sell on.
O'Shea understands why he opted to fight for a starting berth.
"In his mind he was going back to play and to break in," the Republic of Ireland international said.
"Now he's got another step in his career to make."
John O'Shea was a studio guest on BBC Newcastle's Total Sport show. Listen again to full phone-in with the Sunderland captain on the iPlayer.
