Championship side Brighton & Hove Albion have signed forward Jamie Murphy from Sheffield United for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old Scot, who scored 12 goals in 58 appearances for the Blades last season, has signed a four-year deal with the Seagulls.
"Jamie is somebody we monitored very closely last season," Brighton manager Chris Hughton said.
"He was one of Sheffield United's most influential and creative players."
Murphy joined Sheffield United in January 2013 from Motherwell and went on to score 21 goals in 122 appearances during his spell at Bramall Lane.
"He can play on either flank and he will give us extra options," Hughton added.
"He's a very good age, and can continue to develop and build on his experience."
Murphy is not available for Brighton's trip to Fulham on Saturday but could make his debut against Huddersfield on Tuesday.
He becomes the Sussex club's ninth signing of the summer transfer window.
