Gillingham 2-0 Wigan Athletic

Two goals from Bradley Dack helped Gillingham beat Wigan and move to the top of League One.

Dack slotted home his opener after good play by on-loan Chelsea midfielder Jordan Houghton and Rory Donnelly.

A Luke Norris 20-yard strike came back off the Wigan post before midfielder Dack picked himself up from a foul by Donervon Daniels to score a penalty.

The Latics have not won away in the league since March and Will Grigg failed to take their best chance.

Wigan athletic manager Gary Caldwell talking to BBC Radio Manchester:

"Disappointing again, we wanted to try and build momentum from Wednesday night off the back of such a great win and performanc. We didn't really get started in the game until they scored. Then we started playing our possession game and passing game and creating opportunities second half. We couldn't get that goal to get us back in the game.

"I thought we were fresh, ready for the challenge. Away from home is always difficult in terms of the home crowd, you have to stand up to it and be brave and impose your style on the game and we didn't do that.

(on Kevin McNaughton injury) "Not sure yet, it's a tendon in his hamstring, hopefully he kind of came off early enough. The physio is hoping it's not to bad, we'll access that tonight and tomorrow."
