Yeovil Town 3-2 Luton Town

Yeovil Town battled back from two goals down to beat Luton Town and earn their first points of the season.

Craig Mackail-Smith opened the scoring with a fine volley after three minutes.

Paul Benson's header made it 2-0 to Luton but Stephen Arthurworrey nodded home to pull one back for Yeovil.

Ryan Bird then turned in to equalise and the former Portsmouth man put the Glovers on course for their first win with a superb strike from distance to drag the Hatters into the bottom three.

Luton Town boss John Still told BBC Three Counties Radio:

"First half was okay. Second half, they upped their game and we couldn't stay with it. It was as simple as that. When there was a challenge to win, they won it. They run at us and made us really defend.

"Some players are better passers than others, some are better ball winners than others, some are better crossers than others. We had enough people in those areas to do all those things, but we didn't do it.

"It's really important that we supply our front two. We haven't really supplied them. Craig (Mackail-Smith) got a great goal out of nothing, Benson got a typical Paul Benson goal from the restart. I can't remember either of them two missing anything when we played the ball in.

"It's not always about the systems. It's about the quality of the people in those positions. We didn't consistently supply the front people. If I'm being honest I thought they deserved to win."
