Glentoran forward Jordan Stewart is expected to complete a move to League One club Swindon Town on Tuesday as the clubs have reportedly agreed a fee.
The Glens are waiting for clarification over contractual add-ons, before the 20-year-old travels to England to finalise the transfer to the Robins.
Negotiations had been taking place over the weekend, with Swindon understood to have bid in the region of £55,000.
Discussions appeared to stall, but progress was made on Monday night.
One of the matters still being discussed is believed to include ironing out details over a sell-on clause.
Stewart scored a stunning goal against Crusaders in an Irish Premiership game last week and it emerged on Sunday that he was a target for Swindon, who lie fourth in the table.
He joined the East Belfast side in 2013 and has scored 16 goals, including a hat-trick against Warrenpoint Town last season.
He has previously spent time on trial at Stoke City, Middlesbrough and Peterborough United, and signed a two-year contract extension with the Glens back in March.
Swindon are seeking extra attacking options, with Jermaine Hylton having been ruled out for two months with a fractured collarbone, Jon Obika struggling with a calf problem, Miles Storey out of favour and Josh Cooke on loan at Cheltenham Town.
